Kate Middleton was ‘loyal’ to Prince William as distance grew with Prince Harry

Kate Middleton was ‘loyal’ to Prince William as distance grew with Prince Harry Royal commentator Roberta Fiorito touched upon Kate Middleton and her role alongside Prince William during their royal rift with Prince Harry. For the unversed, Fiorito claimed that the royal rift between the brothers began after Prince William advised his brother not to be ‘blindsided by lust’ and instead get to know Meghan Markle a lot more closely before making any big decisions. According to Express UK, "William told Harry don’t feel you have to rush this, take as much time as you need to get to know this girl and that was really what kind of ruffled Harry’s feathers. He felt that it was very cavalier about the woman he was head over heels in love.” He went on to say, “I think that really set off the distance.” He also touched upon Kate Middleton’s rule in this royal scuffle and claimed the Duchess of Cambridge continued to be extremely ‘loyal’ to her husband during the course of this royal f

In the scorching heat, worshippers made their way across Mina Valley near Makkah in western Saudi Arabia under the watchful eyes of security forces, to symbolically "humiliate" the devil. Masked pilgrims, clad in white and observing social distancing, threw seven stones each at a pillar symbolising Satan. Hajj authorities offered the pilgrims pebbles that were sanitised to protect against the pandemic. Friday also marks the beginning of Eid-ul-Adha, the feast of sacrifice. Photo: File/AFP The three-day ceasefire between the Taliban and Afghan government forces began on Friday as Afghans offered prayers marking Eid-ul-Adha. A car bomb that killed at least 17 people in the country's east just hours before the truce came into effect underlined the scale of the challenge that lies ahead, although the Taliban denied any involvement. The halt in fighting is slated to last for the duration of Eid-ul-Adha and is only the third official truce in nearly 19 years of war. "We want a permanent ceasefire from the Taliban as they are the ones who paved the way for other terrorist groups to operate in Afghanistan," Mohammad Tahir, a taxi driver, told AFP after offering Eid prayers at a Kabul mosque. As the ceasefire commenced, hundreds of worshippers went to mosques across the capital where they were pat

Six months after the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared a global emergency, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 17 million people across the globe. The WHO warned Thursday that young people are "not invincible" and were helping to drive resurgences in many places that had largely curbed the disease. "Spikes of cases in some countries are being driven in part by younger people letting down their guard during the northern hemisphere summer," said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. COVID-19 has killed more than 667,000 people, and is forcing governments into a persistent balancing act between saving lives and preventing economic devast

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Photo: AFP US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said Washington will take action and force UN sanctions on Iran if arms embargo ends. Russia and China, two of the Permanent Five nations that enjoy veto power on the Security Council, want the UN embargo on selling conventional weapons to Iran to end on October 18 as laid out under a 2015 resolution. Pompeo told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the United States would introduce a resolution to extend the embargo "in the near future" which "we hope will be met with approval from other members of the P5." "In the event it's not, we're going to take the action necessary to ensure that this arms embargo does not expire," he said. The United States has previously said it has the authority to "snap back" UN economic sanctions that were lifted as part of a nuclear deal with Iran. "We have the capacity to execute snapback and we're goi
